Diaper Duty!
RATIONALE
“CradleCubs” is an app + web-based babysitting service that strives to help parents of diverse ages and backgrounds find the right, qualified caregiver to entrust with their children’s well-being.
Taking care of kids can be tiring, and sometimes parents need a break (especially from changing stinky diapers). The goal is to let parents know we’re the right people to call if they need an extra hand, providing hundreds of qualified caregivers at their disposal.
This ad is designed to reach parents and children right where they are: the playground. Using the visual metaphor of a swing resembling a diaper, the message reads, “Tired of diaper duty? Let us take the load off” with a website link for parents to easily find a babysitter. The “diaper” is intentionally positioned to prompt parents to lift and place their child into the baby swing. The message is placed behind the swing, ensuring that parents will see it as they push their child.

Two “diapers” for swing sets
Originally, I knew my client for this project would be a babysitting company, but I needed direction for the advertisement. To brainstorm solutions, I created a detailed creative brief.
From there, I evolved the design, moving from an initial sketch to a digital mockup, and finally, to a physical sticker that could be placed directly on a swing set. This allowed me to capture images of real families interacting with the ad in a natural, everyday setting.
